JERSEY
Jersey: The upcoming movie is a Bollywood remake of the Telugu movie carrying the same name, Jersey. The movie that is helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri is all set to release on 28 August, 2020. The film is based on the sport loved by all, cricket, wherein Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a cricketer. Alongside Shahid Kapoor, the cast of the movie also includes his father Pankaj Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Rohan Shah.
Shahid Kapoor, however, seems to be excited about his character as he was quoted saying, “I used to think I am a good cricketer because I used to open at school. I forgot the fact that there has been a long gap where I have not played cricket. It’s fun to play cricket just like that, but when you are playing (the role of) a cricketer you need to get the technique right and dedicate a lot of time to it. I am trying to give as much time I can”.
